These just keep getting better and better this year. Today’s selection is 💯 my flavor profile of choice. Fruit + smoke + joy. Sipping this one as slowly as possible because I don’t want it to run out. Interesting that there’s no real burn of you sit with it a while. The heat comes as a chaser, and even then it’s more of a numbing heat than a burn.

"Is this your card?" I nod. The 2 of diamonds. He's got it right of course, he is good at this. But will he recognize me based on the card I chose? Zeppelins fly overhead, I shudder at the memory they trigger. My mechanical arm creaks, it needs another crank to function properly. But I know if I reveal the nature of my left hand, I'll be made. "For my next trick, I'll need a volunteer!" A woman excitedly jumps up from the crowd. The Magician takes his time, and points to a completely different gentleman in the throng of people gathered around. The gentleman is begrudgingly brought onstage. I see the patch on his trenchcoat: 112th division 'the Cog-Wielders' just like I used to be. (So he is hunting us. just like I thought.) The Magician presents the trick: a steam-powered whirling fan, blades sharp as razors. He promises the gentleman will survive unharmed. (like I did) I crank my left arm. (steady now. soon). The blades of the fan whirl, the volunteer gives a trusting nod to the Magician, if only he knew of this man's treachery! Just before the blades hit my old comrade I rise, and lift my mechanical arm. A rifle blast from my palm and the Magician is down. The crowd panics, I rush to the stage. I look down at the man who destroyed my arm and pushed my wife out of that zeppelin window. I crank my arm once more, look into the eyes of the dying Magician, fitting that his demise should be from the construct he caused. But I feel the moment fleeting. Vengeance is sweet, but the brightness dissipates quickly. "Is this your card?" I ask the dying man, and I drop 2 diamonds onto his body, her diamond earrings from that fateful night.

I’m gonna call this rye cuz it’s got a fair bit of spice and not a ton of sweetness up front. It’s got that tongue pinch factor going. Kind of a funky nose unless I just didn’t rinse my glencairn properly. Fair bit of proof to it. It’s a little perfumey, a little varnish-y. It’s not off-putting, but it’s not my favorite either.

Off the back of fireball, this is fantastic. It’s no secret that I’m extremely green when it comes to whiskey, and I don’t think I’ve liked any of these like I like a good few fingers of Don Julio 1942, 😉 but this one I’ll drink. I feel like this one’s got some proof to it as well,’but not as much as the 125 of yesterday. I mean LBH, I’m most likely not correct. I will say this though. For those who know, a lot of these taste like the CS Gas Chamber to me. Like that’s a taste, smell, and feeling that I’ll never be able to forget. Thankfully whiskey doesn’t come with the sinus draining, vomit inducing, and uncontrollable eye watering that came with the gas chamber. Really though, I think I’m just still slightly in shock by how much I hated the last whatever it was fake whiskey.

Cinnamon flavor right off the bat. Honestly, really tastes like fireball. If I was at a party and we were doing shots… sure. But not for me to sip on. If this is fireball, great. If it’s not, I will be fine never drinking this ever again. No thanks. I just cannot get over my absolute disdain for this drink. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I wouldn’t corrupt any other drink by adding this to it. No gracias ☠️. SHUT IT DOWN 🙅
