Lemon + grass, but not lemongrass?

Lots of apple and citrus and taste. Finish is apple pie with baking spice. If I had to guess it would be a sherry cask finish.

Lemon cookies. Interesting light whiskey but not really my jam.

Silky smooth, not a bourbon but has some characteristics of it. I am thinking scotch in a bourbon barrel. I like it a lot

Darn it!! I canโ€™t tell if this is Japanese whiskey or scotch, but I really like it!! Nopeโ€ฆHana did not taste it, but she says it smells like rubbing alcohol.

Meh. Not the worst Scotch I've ever had. I would drink it if it was the last whiskey on Earth. Mouth full of smoke at the end.

Taste like a Highland scotch. Which is to say deliciousโ€ฆ Doesnโ€™t taste that refined so will put it in the medium price range, but we drink this any day.

Tasting quotes included: 'Even I like it, and I'm not a scotch girl' and 'Lacks that boggy hatred that fate shackles to most scotch'. Overall we both like this one. I'd absolutely buy it and hope it is not something embarrassing like Cutty Sark.

This is a fantastic scotch (hopefully my tastebuds are right). This reminds of our golf trip to Scotland. I can smell the ocean, feel the breeze, and this takes me there. Nice pick. Also, can we all grow up a little and have Scotch win the calendar this year. Thatโ€™s just old man shaking a fist at the calendar. Cโ€™mon Scotch!!! And if this isnโ€™t a scotch Iโ€™m an idiot. Haha.

Little to much peat for me, but not bad. Not a scotch drinker, but I would have this again.

Scotchy scothch scotch (?) This is enjoyable. Little bit of peat. Little bit of heat. Overall, very gentle for a scotch. My only real complaint is the finish is a bit short. Very nice flavor profile!

Charming and nicely balanced. This tastes like a Japanese whiskey trying to emulate a lowland scotch.

I love scotch. Scotchy scotchy Scotch. Here it goes down. Down into my belly.

As the groups resident Scotch lover, Iโ€™m going to say this is a damn fine dram. One Iโ€™d welcome in my home any day of the week. And especially delicious tonight, since I was in the mood for a scotch and had my hopes up for the calendar. It delivered. Nice and smooth, good leathery notes. Little hint of wood without the smoke. Needs more peat to be stellar, but they always do. Was more enjoyable without the water, but Iโ€™d take it either way.

Prefer a more peaty offering. It is a little light on the palate ...Not enough depth for me.

'Twas the night of the third tasting, I'll give this one a try, The nose is so silent, no familiar scents do I come by. The first taste was harsh, with a burn so strong. I thought, "I am going to need ice to help this process along." This is not very smooth and is not bringing me cheer, This is one of those Scotches that Jonathan mentioned, I fear. Will I give this selection a good grade? Well, it's hard to say. It's highly unlikely, I just don't see a way. So I'll sit with this pour, and think for a while, This whiskey really is not my style.

Really nice sip, here. Peaty, but not overwhelming, bit of a burn but still smooth. I dig this one.

Simplicity is a dish best servedโ€ฆsimply. I feel like an old man in a hat sitting in his favorite booth in what used to be a dimly lit casual watering hole but has now become a gastropub with a weird ass menu. But Iโ€™m still in my booth ordering a burger. The burger is this whiskey. Are there better whiskeys? Yes. But they are complicated and Iโ€™m scared so I stick with this one, in my booth, in my hat, while the world passes me by. Itโ€™s fairly smooth, the mouth feel is nice, I just feel like itโ€™s not got a lot going on. Splash of water washes out any roughness so itโ€™s even more drinkable. But to what point and purpose? Whatโ€™s it all for? So we can stay in our booths? So we can all wear hats?
