Really solid scotch

Enjoyed this one quite a bit. It's nice and spicy. Tasting peanut brittle with a long finish.

If I keep guessing bourbon this week, I’ll eventually be right? This one seems pretty good. Caramel and heat. 😬👍

Man seems high proof and perhaps young. Needed water which really sweetened up the notes to like vanilla cake and some citrus or apricot. Sweet finish with subtle oak.

Floral on the nose for me. The back end tastes like scotch but not at all as offensive.

Man when I taste scotches or what I think is a scotch I often have a hard time with notes besides the oak and some sweetness or fruity. This one has a rich complex taste and long finish. Pretty good

Whoa, this is not great in my opinion. Smells and feels like drinking musty perfume. Bleh, regrets.

Lots of sweetness and honey, met by earthy heat. A bit unexpected but pretty good overall!

This one is complicated. Hard to decide. It’s good.

Somehow got a week behind already so playing some catch up tonight - not going well so far this season but maybe doing four a day will help me learn fast? Or four tastings will help ease the pain of losing....either way. Day 4 is not my fave.

Easy sipper!

Not bad. I like that it’s not high proof - more of a sipper. I don’t think it’s a Scotch or a bourbon, guessing rye. Looking forward to being wrong… again. 🤣

Oh this is good. Really good. Spice like a rye...my control is a JTS Brown BIB and that is all corn...my money is on a high-ish proof rye.

Light with a little spice. I'd definitely give this a go again.

I signed up for this for the friendship and then I didn't start until the 10th day. I am an OG member who learned I didn't like hard liquor back then. I learned again today that I still don't like it. Now I have made zero friends and have a weird taste in my mouth. Anyone want to be my friend? 🤣

Either eye or bourbon with more wheat-not my fave, I prefer a little sweeter. Good structure to it though.

Tastes like a rye-heavy bourbon. On the drier, spicier side rather than being vanillay and sweet. Solid dram.

Lower. Pull. Raise. Lower. Pull. Raise. My oar pushes against the deepening water as we stride against the current. This secret river, some legend lost to time tells us its delta is somewhere off near Broken Leaf Rock. But we found it. Against all odds we found it and our annual pilgrimage commences. Up the river to the ancient beachhead, through the rocks and the moss until finally there in the clearing: The Spring. One by one, our party dips down and cups a mouthful. Some say the water is blessed by a cleric. Others say cursed by a fire demon. I say it is the earth itself giving us its warmth. I think I’m liking these more and more. It had some sweetness to it. I definitely appreciate it when the first sip is enjoyable. I don’t want to have to work for my drinks. So whatever this is, I approve. Or maybe because I spent a moment with The Cup this evening, and we’ll, everything is just better ha.

Hot, hot, hot on the nose! Burned its way southward, but we both like this one enough to put it on our radar. Getting a little too handsy with the cheese platters at the office holiday party tonight may have wrecked my palate for tasting notes on this pour but at least I feel bloated.
