This tastes expensive. Really no complaints here. I like it, but don’t love it. That said, I’d be very happy to enjoy this out at the bar.

Going out on a limb with this one because, why not. Surprise me. Tell me I’m wrong. Make this a barrel proof bourbon and show me that my taste buds have deceived me. Won’t change the fact that o enjoyed drinking it!!

Not sure what this is, but its not for me.

I adore the smoky sweet blend of this one. Very well balanced, very much enjoyable neat. Could accidentally drink way more of this than I intended if I wasn’t careful….

"easy, EASY" I'm doing my best to gently lower Dr. Dweller down the cavernous ruin. My hands aren't used to the rough ropes, this isn't exactly what I had in mind for a work study. He hits the bottom, gives me an all clear. I make my way down, rappelling after him. He clicks on a flashlight, I do mine as well. "What is this place?" I ask "This is a temple of an ancient cult. They built a religion around the consumption of fire. Call it a family myth but apparently I have an ancestor associated with the cult. I've always been curious, and now I finally found it." He's completely forgotten me, monologuing to himself. I pick up our pack and follow along, intrigued but bothered. We explore several halls and caverns, many with paintings and reliefs showing a fiery figure. After stumbling around the ruins for hours, we break through a small opening, hastily buried by rocks. As we enter the revealed room, we both gasp. This sanctuary is huge, and well preserved. At the center of the room, some sort of forge with a crucible. We walk towards it. "This was the key to their ritual." Dr. Dweller says. He lifts the crucible in his hand, there is still liquid in it. It begins to glow red. "Will I pass the trial?" before I can stop him he drinks! He winces, writhes in pain, sweat dripping down his face. It passes, he collects himself, and offers it to me. I hesitantly taste it, just a whisper of a sip. I think of my father, I think of caramel, and a house in flames. I see how this cult worshiped fire; they found a way to drink it.

Enjoying this one a lot, perfect timing as I try to erase the memory of buying a full case of malort for the holidays (jk we love malort in this household)

Ooh, big big cinnamon up front on the palate, reminiscent of the ECBP. Nose is pretty tight, mostly that old furniture varnish vibe. Getting some more apple and honey on the palate now. This is a lovely lovely dram. Proof’s gotta be well above a hundo. Best of the calendar so far and it isn’t close.

Good flavor. I get a little peanut brittle maybe. The finish is a little hot, but a nice pour overall.

I’m getting notes of meh. Don’t love it or hate it. 🤔 je ne sais pas!

Loved it! Nose is caramel and oak. Delicious peanut brittle flavor. Medium finish. I'd like to run this back.

Wow got some proof. Nice nose of candy and cinnamon and light oak and leather. Palate is similar. I like the burn plus sweetness and the linger on the tongue.

Scotches everyday! My palate is feeling abused. After my first sniff of this one, I am very confused. At least the scotches are easy to guess For everything else I'm just giving it my best. My first taste, well it's got a bit of a punch Perhaps this is a rye, is my first hunch. But JK said of bourbons, there are the most. Lock in the guess and through this game, you will coast. But back to whiskey at hand, Sam-I-am. I will say it's a fine little dram. I don't love the smell, but it's really about the taste. This certainly is not a pour to waste.

A sweet bourbon with high heat. Liking this overall. Maybe a bit too much honey, but overall I’d be really happy to enjoy this on a night out.

I think this is my favorite so far this season. I hope it's garbage whiskey and super cheap. If so I might just go full Randy Quaid this holiday season...

Warm and nice

Do I like this? Nah. And in case you’re wondering, it doesn’t pair well with Korean BBQ. Not that I thought it would, but outside of the look, this drink is nothing like yesterday’s Bourbon. It could also be the Ink Master Finale with a bunch of Japanese tattoos that’s making me lean this way. I’m still not convinced there is a Japanese Whiskey… The smell was not pleasant and the taste seems to be lacking. After a little breathing room, there was definitely a change in flavor, I wouldn’t say it made it better or worse. Not much of a burn on the back end, but I think the initial taste really makes me cringe. Oh well. This would be another absolutely perfect Hot Toddy Whiskey. Overall, not a fav, but most certainly a coffee and Dr. Pepper Whiskey

Alcohol! Wood chips. Hamster cage. Cedar. Cinnamon. Sharp and angular. Also a tiny bit of weird fruit, melon?

Man, this one is nice and spicy. getting notes of baking spice and cinnamon with an almost butterscotch finish. Really liked this one.

Nice, light and easy drinking... and tasty with the right crackers and cheese...

No idea what this is, but damn it is gooooood. So sweet and lovely, very rich flavor compared to what I expected. This is dessert in a glass, and I want more.

There's that peaty flavor I'm not a giant fan of... so this must be a scotch... or a Japanese
