I’d buy a bottle of this…I don’t know the difference between Rye, Irish, Japanese, etc but whatever this is, I like it!

Thunder crashes. Ice wind billows. storm upon storm builds in the space between earth and sky. This battle has raged for weeks, for dominion of the humans. An angel and a devil, locked in combat on a celestial scale high among the clouds. The mighty Archangel raises her arm to the sky for one last blessing, a weapon that could defeat this devil and save this fledging creation called humanity. The sky opens and grants her request: a bolt of lightning arcs into her hand, frozen and terrifying. With a final cry she flies into the great monstrosity and plunges the frozen lightning into his heart. Spent, and weary, she fades knowing her foe falls to the earth vanquished. The corpse of the beast lands, a crater forming underneath his wreck. His body decays, becomes one with nature as all things must. But the frozen spear of sacred lightning remains, not eternally but almost just; for once every year, a single drop melts off. And every year, there are those who seek to bottle it.

That molasses! Cola candy, some campfire. Some smoke. Love this, a little butter? Chocolate. Absolutely delicious. Added water and now debating this may be Rye... got that pepper and going with it. Tough one, high grade.

Really interesting! The oaky power of this one shines through. Guessing some kind of sherry-heavy scotch.

Extremely smooth and very tasty. A lot of fruit

Getting leather on the nose with is a little off-putting. Medicinal taste on the palette. No clue what this could be but, i'm not a fan of this one.

nose is super floral..smells like a port. Taste...cherries for sure. I'm guessing a port finished bourbon. Finish is short, but clean. Very nice and mature!

He drones on and on and on and on. I try to nod and follow what he is saying. He continues to describe every detail of his life story, down to the number of buttons on his military coat when he signed up to fight the Orc incursion (4, 4 buttons). Now he’s on about how the peace talks went south and how it all went to shit when we gave up the river on the north side to the greenskins. He reminds me that he’s 1/32 Orc himself so it’s ok for him to say all this. I roll my eyes, but hide it by looking towards Vanessa. We elected to keep our relationship a secret, and come to this Wintercrest party as ‘friends.’ If he knew a Half-orc was dating his little neice, he might actually have a heart attack. That would get me out of this conversation at least. He takes a liking to me, pulls me in to his study. ‘Now here’s something you can’t get nowadays. My gods we used to be a real kingdom.’ He procures a bottle, a menacing orc wielding an axe and a stalk of barley. ‘Try this my boy, it’ll put real hair on your chest. It’s actually made from the orcs!’ I chuckle to myself, we toast the King and I drink. I maintain eye contact with ‘uncle glory days’ and I chug the whole glass. He tries to keep up with me but chokes and coughs. My mother made stronger stuff to go with her morning cereal.

My palate may be miscalibrated at the moment. This just tastes like a petroleum product of some sort.

Light, vanilla on the nose. Not light on the palette… wow. Tough to read with all that heat

Nice spice & depth of flavor. Good for when I’m in the mood for a ‘serious’ pour.

Brought out a glass from a big time bourbon drinking event trying to manifest, but I dont think it worked.

We think it might be a rye, but it is no secret that I don't know $%!& about $%!& when it comes to whiskey, so let's roll the dice. Regardless of the accuracy of the guess, we both like this.

Not too bad. smooth and creamy. Not much burn. Thinking a Scotch... but what do I know. :)
