Can’t decide if this is a great scotch or a great Japanese I love the light smokiness, some wood, some fruit. Overall pretty complex. Better before the ice, or maybe I should have added drops instead of a cube. Doesn’t have the. Bitterness I often find in the Japanese so I’m going with scotch. Unconfidently. ..

Rye or Bourbon?!? This always really trips me up. Feel like I'm getting that spicier/drier rye taste. Proof is a bit punchier. Hope I'm right going Rye.

Leather notes

Ok, was way wrong on the Scotch guess yesterday...cant happen 2 days in a row?...right? Very light, sweet, honey, grassy. Taste Highland to me, but I also have no fucking clue what I am talking about. Cheers!

Like a scientist trying to observe something microscopic and thereby influencing the outcome, I feel myself continuing to sip to ‘figure out if I like it’. It’s smoother than blubber of a walrus, but as simple minded as the brain of a walrus. Yet I don’t need to reach for the water to open it up. Maybe I should. Standby: UPDATE: water revealed some smoke? What are we even doing? Just a splash made this hella dangerous. Still not complicated or too interesting but def more than before

Lemon + grass, but not lemongrass?

Lots of apple and citrus and taste. Finish is apple pie with baking spice. If I had to guess it would be a sherry cask finish.

Lemon cookies. Interesting light whiskey but not really my jam.

Silky smooth, not a bourbon but has some characteristics of it. I am thinking scotch in a bourbon barrel. I like it a lot

Darn it!! I can’t tell if this is Japanese whiskey or scotch, but I really like it!! Nope…Hana did not taste it, but she says it smells like rubbing alcohol.

Meh. Not the worst Scotch I've ever had. I would drink it if it was the last whiskey on Earth. Mouth full of smoke at the end.

Taste like a Highland scotch. Which is to say delicious… Doesn’t taste that refined so will put it in the medium price range, but we drink this any day.

Tasting quotes included: 'Even I like it, and I'm not a scotch girl' and 'Lacks that boggy hatred that fate shackles to most scotch'. Overall we both like this one. I'd absolutely buy it and hope it is not something embarrassing like Cutty Sark.

This is a fantastic scotch (hopefully my tastebuds are right). This reminds of our golf trip to Scotland. I can smell the ocean, feel the breeze, and this takes me there. Nice pick. Also, can we all grow up a little and have Scotch win the calendar this year. That’s just old man shaking a fist at the calendar. C’mon Scotch!!! And if this isn’t a scotch I’m an idiot. Haha.

Floral? slight fruit, cedar. mellow and smooth. pipe smoke. grandparent's house. saltwater but not briny. sour. Not sure i'm into this one. creamy. thrown here so making my guess. Rating is Cydne's.

Little to much peat for me, but not bad. Not a scotch drinker, but I would have this again.

Scotchy scothch scotch (?) This is enjoyable. Little bit of peat. Little bit of heat. Overall, very gentle for a scotch. My only real complaint is the finish is a bit short. Very nice flavor profile!
