I'm getting a lot of tropical fruit on the finish. Pineapple, orange, mango. And then a tiny kick of spice at the very end. Smells like a scotch, but tastes like a mixed drink. Really liking it if it was just a touch higher proof.

Clearly malt. I don’t get any smoke. Honey, biscuit, orchard fruits. A little moss maybe.

Malt for sure again. Very smooth, tempting to call Irish, but there’s a hint of brine or something on the back end that makes me think Scotch. Wouldn’t be surprised if it were Japanese single malt.

This one is really good. Tastes like pop rocks and gets that tingle just right. I tried opening my mouth to hear the popping, but it just looked like I was trying to scream. Anyway, I'm getting apples, oranges and cotton candy with some spice on the back end.

Tastes like poo poo. With a touch of caca. Not a big fan on the heat and flavor combo. Both too much. Seems like it is trying to prove something by simply talking loudly.

Back on my bullshit. It’s rye or corn. This time I think it’s gotta be rye. No black pepper or spice to my nose, but it’s too sharp on the tongue for bourbon, not sweet enough. Pretty hot, but a little water just brings out more herbal and earth notes.

I accidentally filled this out last night and got a peek at the answer. I feel confident I would’ve pegged it as bourbon and hot, but I don’t know if I would’ve gone high enough on the proof to be right. I don’t think I’m threatening for the lead anyway, but I’ll take an asterisk on this one. As for the whiskey, with water, this is my favorite bourbon so far.
