Smooth on ice. Pretty sure it's a bourbon

This is where I wish I was a better taster. Smooth, delicious scotch with so many complex flavors. I am just no good at identifying those flavors. Loved it

Hmmm. Definitely scotch. Getting a little 🍐 on the front. A bit of peat, but more on the sweet side.

So. I accidentally had this one on the 19th. I feel the need to say the 19th (Saturday's tasting) is damn tasty. Sweet, fruity, and enough oaky dry finihs to know this is a lovely scotch. Now, for the 20th, not sure what it is - but it's not my cup of tea.

The question that will haunt me all my days - bourbon or rye? I'm trying to trust my first impressions more since I tend to talk myself out of the right answer, so I'm calling rye. I get orchard and stone fruit on the nose. Maple syrup and shortbread on the palate. Hot as hell at first, but more approachable with each sip.

I like the nose, vanilla and cinnamon on the palette but the medicinal burn on the finish is off putting

This one's got me guessing. Smells sweet and bitter, but tastes dry and fruity, then the aftertaste has a malt flavor to it. The weird combo really works for me though.

D.Lish. Vanilla caramel apple. If such a thing existed, I just drank it. I hope this is scotch because I like it. Going with a bourbon though. Sweet. The caramel lingers. Seriously good.

Sweet taste, hint of spice and licorice at finish

I won't pretend to know anything after yesterday's debacle. This one's hot, not a lot of fruit or spice on the nose, smooth and creamy on the palate.

Very tough. I like it for sure, but not sure what I'm getting. Maybe some salt, wood, but not much sweetness. The finish does start to get sweet, but it takes a while to get there.

Good, but not overwhelming in any way. A lot of burn on the end

Butterscotch melted in my glass. Wowza. Lingers like a melted Butterfinger. The nose is buttery. Little spice mid-palate. Delicioso.

This one's got me reeling. It seems too smooth to be a bourbon, but not grassy or spicy enough to be a rye. After a sip it's pure baked apple with cinnamon. I'm going to guest rye because - I'll confess - I'm watching the counts, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is an "other ".

Wow, this is sweet from the nose to the finish. If I wanted to get my kids drinking whiskey, this is how I would start them. Lots of caramel and salt-water taffy flavors. As overwhelming sweet as it is, very smooth that makes it a little bit likable.

I honestly cannot think of a better way to celebrate the date after the equinox than with this. Holy hell. This was delightful

Tastes like Christmas. It's a lot like baked apples, some vanilla, baking spices, basically just a holiday breakfast. Not sure if I like it. The finish is great, but getting there is less great.

Caramel and rye & baking spice with a touch of heat. Classic flavors, big difference from last night's tasting. Drinkable. Spice lingers with a mix of caramel and vanilla.
