Overheard: 'Tastes like a scotch to me, not bad though'. Whatever this is it has a fairly benign scotchy-edge to it. Like it but don't love it.

I talked my son (22) into drinking the rest of this so I didn't have to. Thin and weak. This is a whiskey that has had sand kicked in its face repeatedly.

Would not bet the farm that this is not a scotch, but it would be such a weak scotch that we learn toward not. Very hot on the nose, less so on the tail. Sam says 'Almost sweet at the beginning, then its just alcohol.' We both tend to like this.

I like scotch. I really like scotch. Tasting this scotch made me sad. It's like learning that a corgi mauled an old lady, changing how you think of corgis and making you suspicious of them all from that point forward. I feel like I can't trust scotch now that I've tasted this travesty.

Feedback I got was 'spicy'. Strong alcohol taste and some peat. Not bad.

Torn if this is a bourbon or other, we're guessing other. Hot on the nose, paired exceptionally with chocolate I accidentally ate while this all went down. Overall though we didn't hate it though there was something odd on the backend.

Overheard at the tasting: 'I took a whiff and it made my face hot', 'The only reason you'd drink that is to get drunk', 'somewhere out there a radiator needing cleaned is crying out with every sip I take', and 'I like that it's not sweet, but &^%$!'.

The nose on this one burned off most of my nasal hair, but it redeemed itself with a little sweet on the front and a great finish. We both felt like it could be a rye and the consensus is that we'd buy this. Good stuff. Thanks for not slipping me Fireball on day 1.

Leather. Tobacco. But sweet. Added an ice cube to good effect. Blair hates it. Gave it a 3. Almost feels like a Japanese blend but not balanced enough. Meh. Good not great.
