Phrases bandied about this evening 'it tastes like dirt, but American dirt, not dirt from the highlands, so not scotch'. Small glimpses of my thinking my progeny could be unworthy of these whiskeys... I hate saying 'other' but not sure where this one lands. Not bad though.

I really like this guy. Very easy on the nose and easier going down

Quotes
Solid peat and smoke, a delicious scotch. Could use a little maturity to smooth it out. Love it!

Yes! Clearly a scotch and clearly a better quality one than I typically drink. This is my favorite so far this month. I hope to god it is a garbage $30-40 bottle so I can put it in my regular rotation.

Well, if I said it tastes like cold brew, would you believe I swapped Day 15 and 16? Anyway, going for Scotch here but was sweeter than expected on the finish. Probably an Other Japanese just to punk me. The cool thing about this is that the leather/smoke dissipates after it breathes a bit. This one grew on me.

This comes off kinda disjointed. The peat is WAY heavier on the taste than the nose. These are scotch flavors, but in a configuration the likes of which I've never tasted before. Comes across pretty hot at first. Settles down the more I get into it. I want to say it's a blend, but these are flavors I've ONLY ever had in scotch whisky.

This might be one of my favorites so far. I like the sweater stuff and this is an easy drink for sure. I would drink this again

Gonna keep guessing rye until I get it right. :) Carmel and citrus on the nose. Carmel corn. Rye spices and peppermint. Vanilla, honey on the back end. C'mon, rye right? Seriously tasty bevvy.

Sweet, vanilla and a little bit nutty. Delicious

I want to love it, but it's more of a really nice girl you'd date and wonder why the chemistry isn't there. It's not the drink, it's me.

This is nothing but a liquid cigar.

Like it, don't love it. A little citrus, some good sweet notes, but feels a bit thin.

Quotes
Getting some grape and peat on the nose. The flavor doesnโ€™t do anything for me, spicy and burns on the end.

What am I tasting? never had one like this. Smells like scotch, butterscotch and oak. Leather maybe some smoke. Finish is sweet - honeysuckle. Leather lingers a bit to remind you that somebody likes scotch.

Another interesting one here. Not quite sure how I feel about it.

Big bourbon cherry note with some orchard fruits on top. Itโ€™s got a little heat to it. A little peach the deeper I get in to it. Could it be Four Roses Single Barrel?

Tastes super new make-y, but itโ€™s got barely enough color to put me off guessing itโ€™s actually white dog. Is this super young corn whiskey?

The nose on this guy is odd. Started out hating the flavor, but probably because it was just so different. The more I drank, the more it tasted like beer and bourbon. Not sure I hated it, but not sure I loved it either. It's curious and drinkable, but probably wouldn't seek it out.

Getting notes of brown sugar, light cherries and then a lot of spice. All while packing a big punch.

Still guessing rye until I get one. Seriously though. If this isn't rye I'll drink some more of that Fireball crap. This drink smells like rye up front. Heat from high proof and peppery rye spice. Nice root beer undertones. Caramel finish. Solid.

Got notes of orange up front, then some fennel/herbal notes on the palate. Really like this one but confounded as to what type it is.

This tastes like tequila (?). Aged in tequila barrels maybe? I like an aรฑejo tequila, but this is not my bag.
