Merry Christmas to me! This one was delicious! At this point, I just want to say how sad I am that this advent is coming to a close! I have loved trying all the whiskeys - it's made me realize some of my favorites aren't my favorites anymore and I might actually like a scotch or a rye here and there. Santa comes tonight and this whiskey is ending the night with a bang! Lovely notes, lovely flavors. YUMM.

Ending on a scotch?!?! Definitely not bourbon or rye. Tastes like a pretty straightforward single malt. Tasty if not super complex. Tastes like a good proof for a scotch. A very pleasant farewell to the 2025 calendar.

I enjoyed this one tonight. Getting some good fruit on this one. I had a lot of fun learning about whiskey and playing whiskey advent. What a fun way to get friends together during advent season. Thank you to Mr and Mrs Hef and all the contributors. I loved the write ups and the videos and all the great content. Also I loved reading all the tasting comments and you guys are super impressive about knowing all the nuances in these drinks. I’ve also learned that if my throat is burning I should guess 125 proof! First taste. What is this nonsense I'm drinking? It's strange and unbecoming of whiskey. I don't understand. It does get better with water. This calendar holds out the weird ones for the end, huh? It must hail from the land of Other but we haven't had Indian yet. I don't trust myself with tastings anymore. I've so enjoyed this advent of tastings. But this one - I'd rather drink that nasty Scotch again.

That’s a very woody American whiskey. I get a hint of cherry cola on the nose. Cherries and brown sugar on the palate. Plenty tongue pinch. High proof and how. Spicy boy. Whatever it is, it’s delicious, but I feel like it spent too long in the barrel.

This HAS to be a scotch from one of those areas I don't enjoy the flavors from. Next year I'll remember if it's Islay or not. But if it keeps the flu away, I'll drink it! I can get down with the sweet flavor but not entirely.

That’s a peated scotch at a big boy proof. The smoke doesn’t really come through on the nose, but it’s prominent on the palate without overpowering. I say that, but it might be overwhelming the finish a tad. There are no bad parts to this whisky, but the parts are maybe a bit disjointed? It kinda jumps around rather than transitioning smoothly between fruit and toffee and peat. Definitely wouldn’t kick it outta bed for eating crackers, but if this turns out to be pricey I’ll appreciate the heads up.
